The University of Nebraska's new facility aims to enhance the lives of animals and improve the understanding of disease, through services including pathology, bacteriology, molecular diagnostic, serology, virology, histology and necropsy.

RDG was commissioned to validate a previous program and design a new veterinary diagnostic center for the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. The Diagnostic Center promotes healthy livestock and companion animals, enhancing the safety of animal-derived consumer products, protecting wildlife resources through disease control, and enhancing the understanding of disease. Its mission is to assist veterinarians, their clients and others responsible for prevention and understanding of disease. The faculty and staff provide diagnostic and research services as well as educating veterinary students, disseminating information generated through scholarly publication and supporting animal health education programs.
