The City of Wauwatosa has experienced remarkable change from previous planning efforts, particularly in East Tosa and the Village of Wauwatosa, the historic town center. With the success of RDG's two previous planning efforts, momentum now shifts to MidTown, which has a strategic location in the Milwaukee metropolitan area.
The growing popularity of walkable, urban density residential neighborhoods is likely to bring future changes and pressures - some welcome (like the installation of a bike share station) and others controversial (such as land use redevelopment). The neighborhood has something for everyone, from day-to-day needs to specialty retailing.
