Nebraska Medicine - Lauritzen Outpatient Center

Omaha, NE

Services provided on this project:

Architecture Overview:

This project expands and relocates an existing outpatient surgical environment and clinical services to serve steadily increasing outpatient volumes for a complex urban medical campus and teaching hospital. The new ambulatory outpatient center is a 4-story building located on the Nebraska Medical Center’s campus with direct skywalk access to the rest of campus.

Interior Design Overview:

The interior building components are designed to bring key users together in one place for conveniences. The wrapping or "suturing" of wood panels creates a dynamic ceiling system and linear quality to help guide patients in wayfinding. The simple tile floor pattern, undulating accent wall tile and wood panels support the concept of visual connection. The overall material palette is clean, sophisticated and soft creating a comfortable environment for patients and their families.
